July 31, 2020 was our First Annual Entrepreneurship Bazaar meeting. 6 teens were selected to participate in the Entrepreneurship Bazaar Event. They received community service hours, participation certificates, and insight from local successful entrepreneurs! The three concepts of the day were Opportunity, Value, & Risk.

Bazaar Morning Welcome by Mrs. Mobley

Board Member Mobley shares her professional experience in choosing the right career in the Bazaar morning welcome. As a Guidance Counselor for almost 20 years, she shares how finding her career path began with an initial interest to become a paramedic and a college counselor discovering her personal skills inventory revealed she may work best in the social working field.

Participants learned that oftentimes, what you like to do may not always fit your personality type and there may be social challenges to overcome to successfully secure the career that is right for you.

Hard Skills vs. Soft Skills

Vice President Shereena Coleman of the Business Development Board in Palm Beach County shares the differentiation between professional and personal persona; honing in on soft skills versus hard skills.

She provided and in-depth view of what businesses are looking for and the importance of being prepared on paper and being prepared professionally.
